The Australian Ballet celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2012
As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations the Australian Ballet will tour to New York in June 2012 for a week of performances at the David H. Koch Theater at the Lincoln Center.
The Australian Ballet’s visit is perfectly timed to coincide with the American Ballet Theater’s Spring Season at the Metropolitan Opera House and New York City Ballet’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, offering lovers of ballet and dance an unique opportunity to compare and contrast three of the world’s leading companies.
On the way, there will be an optional tour to Texas for the Houston Ballet (Triple Bill, Romeo and Juliet) and San Antonio. Following New York, extend your stay for the opening week of the acclaimed Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, MA (details to be announced).
